Temple Bowl 2
This column is minimally carved, retaining
much of its distressed surface. For Foster,
these imperfections represent not only the
truth of the material but serve as a metaphor
for the reality of life. He shuns the concept of
perfection and prefers the greater truth of the
flaw.
